It's all about voters and helping them understand what Republicans do

Every two years we open a campaign office to support Republican candidates in Sate and Federal elections. In odd numbered years, many school boards and local offices are many times overlooked. That should change to make sure we ALL know the members of local school boards, councils and boards. If we believe that the governemnt closest ot the people is the best, then we need to be involved in our own communities. We are friendly and frugal, helping candidates get to know the voters of Linn County and helping the voters of Linn County to know their candidate options. We answer questions and if we don't have the answer immediately, we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

We have monthly meetings
We have other events on our calendar as well
We want to meet you. Add youself to our email list and stay in touch.

We have volunteer opportunities and we'd love to explore what you could do to assist the Linn County Republicans make every year a great year in Linn County and our great state of Oregon..

We have many open positions and would like to have as many people as possible as Precinct Committee persons, but all are welcome as volunteers. Since we have past the May election, remaining PCP positions are appointed.

We meet regularly at Pop's Branding Iron, typically on the first Wednesday of the month at 6 pm, earlier if you want to socialize and catch up with old friends. Please check the Events page for possible exceptions around holidays.

I am a Republican Because..

I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all; regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.

I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve out national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Article of interest: America's Ruling Class
It is, in a way, an odd thing to honor those who died in defense of our country, in defense of us, in wars afar away. The imagination plays a trick. We see these soldiers in our mind as old and wise. We see them as something like the Founding Fathers, grave and gray-haired. But most of them were boys when they died, and they gave up two lives, the one they were living and the one they would have lived. When they died, they gave up their chance to be husbands and fathers and grandfathers. They gave up their chance to be revered old men. They gave up everything for our country, for us. And all we can do is remember.
